This is a self-initiated series of ink-and-wash illustrations developed into an illustrated picture book. Using humour and gentle satire, the work responds to anxiety and productivity culture, proposing a slower and more compassionate rhythm through everyday scenes. Starting from my own daily life and the pressures I observed around me, I noticed how comparison and constant self-improvement quietly reshape ordinary routines. I therefore aimed to translate this shared experience into an accessible and calming narrative without becoming overly heavy.

The outcomes include the completed picture book, a set of ink-and-wash illustrations, selected spreads, and a cover design. I led the full process, including concept and story development, ink illustration, layout and pacing, as well as making the artworks on paper, scanning and post-production, and photography.
